Urgh, adolescence and bitches

Awww but she's so cute!
I think I'll stick to boys, when I got Piper I'd initially wanted a girl...reading these I'm glad I didn't!
Aside from the difficulty housebreaking (they didn't stop having accidents until neutered, Piper at 2 and Finnie at 18 months) they're perfect gentlemen.
I have a chuckle everyday though when I talk to my sister and she tells me about her puppy's latest trouble (she has a 15 week male Bichon)...peed on her bed, many many accidents so far...she has no idea. Girls are easy (my last female was a Cocker Spaniel that was housebroken by the time she was 6 months) aside from the heats (and the grumpiness lol). Boys with the marking...she has no idea what's she's in store for, and she's planning on doing conformation so no neutering for him. But he is incredibly cute so that gets him off the hook lol.
 
I dunno, I dearly love my only boy Elijah but the girls have always had my heart. I don't mind them being a bit independent. In fact, I am grateful that Meadow is that way - she is not demanding or clingy at all. Very happy to entertain herself, thank you very much, even apart from the other dogs. Priceless (and very unexpected, actually).

Jocu is my self-entertainer.....
he'll play bow to his bone and generally have a great time by himself. I always thought he was trying to get the others interested but they never get involved so I guess he's just having a good time when they don't want to play with him...

That's what I always used to say, but I really miss my boy who thought his job in life was to make his mum laugh, well and have her undivided attention (which I don't miss). The boys are such clowns.
I love that Tully will happily lay in the sun or potter outside and give me space. Kismet seems happy to do that for a while too. But Della is very clingy with all her anxieties. The puppy does make me laugh, but will she stay that silly as she matures.

Sounds like Finnie. He'll happily grab a squeaky and play by himself...I've never had a dog that did that and it's quite refreshing to watch him.
