USDAA Nationals

I was just going to ask who all is going...I guess I know now! :biggrin2:

Ashley, I'll send you a PM so we can at least meet and all while we're there!

I'm super excited about going. Me and my friend are going to drive down (10 and 1/2 hours) and are leaving Sunday night the 20th probably after dinner time. My friend just bought a new SUV and has offered to drive! So Trax will have a nice comfy crate in the back to sleep in the whole time.

I do not have a bye into the semifinals, so all the prayers, thoughts, vibes, etc. for me and Trax on Wednesday the 23rd would be GREATLY appreciated! I would hate to get all the way down there and not make it into the semifinals. But I am entered in team, so we have that too.

That being said, this is our first time doing anything this big, so we are honestly going just for the experience. Sure I'd love to make it through everything, but I'm not expecting to take the agility world by storm. I'd just like to keep our head above water for some of it

Lucky you for being able to get to go.
We do have a bye to semifinals but can't get away from work :(
Just as well since it's a bit too far to drive & I could do with saving the $'s right now.

Have fun!

Good luck to Heather and Ashley!!!! I know you guys will be great. Can't wait to see video and/or photos. :)

Heather, you'll get that Q. I know you will! Make the family proud. :P Is your daughter going along (not to run, but to go?) or is it just you and Trax?

Ashley, did both Lexi and Bentley get into Nationals? If so, good luck to Jonathan too.

It's just me and Trax. My best friend is coming along as well to cheer me on and talk me off the ledge a few times I'm sure :biggrin2:

Maverick didn't get the Q's he needed, although he was very close a few times. Next year will be much different for them. They are such a good team, I'm jealous :wink2: I didn't know until later that they have a Junior Showcase that I could've entered her in. That's ok, she doesn't really need to take a full week off of school, kwim?

Thanks! And both dogs qualified :) I don't know how many times that will happen which is why I'm excited that we will all be competing together.

I'm trying not to set any expectations, though, since our showing at regionals was so atrocious (though atypical).

We are also in the middle of buying a house/moving so we have been really lax in our training. Bad timing, I know, but worth it in the long run.

"There are many ways to win other than finishing first on the leader board. One could argue that we win whenever we advance down the road to achievement. We win when we learn and we learn more from our struggles up the mountain than by just standing on the summit." Lanny Bassham.

Gonna have to save that one, I really like it.

Actually I was asking if she was going to tag along to watch, not necessarily run Maverick. However, the out of school for a week bit makes sense either way. LOL.

I'm so excited for you guys!

That is awesome! Then I will say good luck to you and Jonathan then. :)
Looking forward to hearing all about it from all of you.
