USDAA Veterans Program just announced!

I for the life of dont know why I am doing this but they are having Teacup run thrus and I think I will bring my guys,I think the cut off is 17 inches so Shadow can do it, This ought to be a hoot.I will try and video it.

Yes, the cut off is 17 inches for TDAA. I hope you at least have some fun with the run thru for it.

Honestly, it's more difficult than it looks because everything is so much closer together. With the larger dogs (12 - 16 inch jump height dogs) its very easy to have an off course. Basically, its a completely different set of challenges and you need to be on top of your game as a handler.

It is a lot of fun though! The judges I've trialed under are so easy going and they (TDAA) strive to keep a light atmosphere.

The one I linked to is from 2004. I didn't see anything more current on their site.

Here's what I found from 2007:

"The Board has revised the regulations for the A-frame, setting the height in the Championship Program for large dogs at no less than 5'9" and no more than 5'11", and for small dogs and all dogs in the Performance Program, no less than 5'5" and no more than 5'7"."
(The height variations are dependent upon angles)

What do they consider a "large" dog though? Some venues consider 16" to be "large".

I'm not going to move him out of Performance, I'm just wondering if I should have opted to run him in the Champion track instead like I do in every other venue.

Large is 22"+

They call them minis (8"-16") and open (22"-26").
