UTI is worse

Randi you're spot on. We had to do the culture with Lexi when she was little and I couldn't think of the name either. They did a quick test today and did see more white blood cells, blood and some bacteria so they're sending it out for a culture. In the mean time she's on another antibiotic but hopefully we'll have more details soon.

It's odd because she had a lot of UTIs when she was a puppy but nothing since then. The vet remarked on her small bladder and recessed vulva (this has been mentioned to us before) but we are hoping it's just an odd reinfection and nothing more serious.

Bailey also has a recessed vulva. Poor girls! After everything clears up, I highly recommend adding a little pinch of D'mannose powder to Lexi's food. I also give Bailey 1/8th of a 500mg vitamin C pill because every time she had her urine checked, the acidity was low. I used to give her 1/2 a pill, but since I added D'Mannose, I was able to reduce the vitamin C dosage. Because of Bailey's UTI history, I run a urinalysis every 6 months to a year and she hasn't had an issue in a long time :fl.

Here's the one I use:

Chloe used to get them a lot when her immunities were down from Lyme. She also hasn't had one in quite a few years :fl

I'm sorry your little Lexi is having these problems, I will say a prayer and keep my fingers crossed that she gets a good dx and a speedy recovery. :fl :hugs
