I changed their walking time do to the neighbor across the street. This is my other big problem. He got a wiener type dog about 4 months back. He leaves it lose and unattended. It runs around the street and his front yard barking his head off. He comes into my front yard and has even come up my front steps and barked in my front window. So when he is out Ryder is at the window barking at him( an other problem I am having) I have seen the little dog run after and bark at people walking on the street and people walking their dogs on the street. Some times the owner is there to get him other times not. He has gone after me and Ryder when I was walking the dogs with my husband. The little dog is very confrontational by running at me and barking. My husband had Maverick whom does not react to him at all and was able to scare the dog away. Yesterday when I was coming back from my walk with Maverick he saw us from across the street when I was walking up my driveway and was barking after us up my front steps and I had to put my leg out to prevent him from coming in my house. Maverick does not react but Ryder can hear the wiener barking his head off on the front steps. Ryder is in his crate in the front bedroom and of course hysterically barking. I wait 5 minutes for Ryder to calm down in his crate and then I put Maverick in the 4 season room with his kong filled with food. (this is were he stays when we are not home) And then I try to sneak Ryder out but as soon as I get out the front door the wiener is after 2 dogs being walked by a lady. The owner gets the dog and puts it in his house. Well on return from my walk the wiener is out again and runs across the street after Ryder and myself. The owner is out and runs over and gets his dog and says sorry. Now I have already written you half a book

so I wont get into great detail why I am afraid to confront this man with his dog. This is a very nice family neighborhood and he is the thorn in the rose bush. Not trying to judge a book by its cover but he has several motorcycles and dirt bikes that he rides up and down the street. He has a black flag with a scull and bone on his front grass. The part that scares me is that I have seen 5 police cars in front of his house with their guns drawn on more than one occasion. After both dogs were in the house I went over and offered to lend him my 30ft leash. He said he already had one but always forgets to use it.

I very nicely explained that I had 2 very well trained dogs that I would not trust off leash on my front yard and maybe an invisible fence could help him. So way too long answer to your question I have started to take the dogs out at around 11AM as it seems like his dog is normally out later than that. Its hit and miss.
