Vet appontment tomorrow!

Hello all i'm new to this forum and also pretty new to shelties in general. I've always wanted one for quite osme time now and finally got around to finding the time to raise a puppy myself. I have a blue merle boy Riley he is 3 months old today! i have 2 questions, he has a tiny little bump on his tail (ithink its shrinking but i could be wrong) it scares me though because it's been there for over 3 weeks now... does any know about that? i'm hoping it's not serious but will ask tomorrow when i take him to see the vet. Second question i feel like i might be over reacting but his eyes seem a tiny bit red? i was told they don't look red by others but still unsure is it maybe just the breed? Thanks for the help!
 
good news! all is well the bump is just simply part of his anatomy probably just a bone on his tail thats larger than the others. Also his eyes were fine the redness is something that supposidly all dogs have they showed me another dog and his eyes were the same colour so i was just overeacting!
 
You're suffering from normal Puppy Mom Syndrome! :lol: A visit to the vet is the best medicine for that. So glad to hear that everything is fine. It's better to notice things and ask the question than to ignore it so don't ever think you're overreacting. Now relax and enjoy that wonderful little puppy! And post some pictures for us! Yes-welcome to the forum! I'm glad to hear that your pup is okay :)

The week we brought our first dog home (he was 7 months old) he jumped off the couch and was limping. We ran to the emergency vet and he was fine by the time we got there :rolleyes2: So I know what it's like to worry and want to be 100% sure they're okay!
 
yes haha thats exactly what my mom said, i have a way of overreacting about a lot of things, even for my 2 cats, any little sniffle i get worried. Thank you alll for the welcome i'm happy i found this forum it will be a lot of help also great to meet other sheltie owners! i will post pictures as soon as i figure out how to. He has grown so much from when i first got him he was 4 pounds now he's 8.2! i can't wait to start puppy school with him.
 
If you haven't yet, a "fun" visit to the vet is always a good idea. THat way, the first trip is treats and petting.
