visitor/invader?

Dickens goes ape when he sees squirrels outside around our big pear tree. If we open the door he runs out and launches himself off the deck, and he's actually "caught" squirrels on two occasions. But being a lover, and not a fighter, he's always let them go. I think he's more into the pursuit than the capture!

I live in a large apartment complex and have a tree about 8' out my front door and had a couple of squirrels that play there. When we moved here, I had to train Bambi that squirrels are "people" too and you must not mess with them, besides you really don't want that little critter, it will whip your ___! For the fact that Alonsoe stated, they are just rodents and carry many ugly things and I didn't want to take a chance of Bambi getting ahold of one, she learned to just ignore them. Aren't our baby's just too smart? :smile2:

Clara does not want anyone other than her dogs and people in HER yard. She doesn't even let me feed the birds there. I had to move the feeders to outside of the fence. She has caught evil squirrel tail on at least two occasions. The other dogs bark at the squirrels and chase them, but I think they do it more out of No Dog Barks Alone camaraderie than Evil Squirrel hatred.

We had a lot of squirrels at our old house and they would always tease Hollie. One day I hear this "knocking" on my kitchen window and I look and there is a darn squirrel knocking on the window! They would always look in the windows just to drive Hollie nuts!
