Vomiting?

My dogs may have eaten a human multivitamin on Saturday; one vomited on Sunday; the other on Monday. We went off to the ER vet, who said the vitamin shouldn't be a problem but may have irritated their stomachs, and to feed them chicken and rice. I've been doing that; one vomited once on Tuesday, and all was well after that. I gave them their usual food or the first time this morning; two hours later, one vomited.

In your experience, how long do upset stomachs last? Should I have introduced the normal food more gradually? Advice is very welcome...
 
I would probably do the chicken a rice for a couple days and introduce their food slowly after that, you may also want to withhold food for 24 hours for the one who is vomiting or feed in very small amounts throughout the day to see if he/she can hold it down.

Hope they are both better soon.
