Walking the three of them is now considerable easier. I'd have to say that 95% of the problems came from Toby's anxiety, which made the other's react. Now that he's under control (with extensive training and also medication), they are CONSIDERABLEY easier to handle. Toby and Sadie are usually attached to the coupler and Ginny is on her own.
I still use a gentle leader on Toby. I now know that ALL of his pulling is anxiety related. Problem is, he's always a bit tense, so he may have to wear the GL indefinitely. It give me so much more control over him and it calms him down a lot.
I do have some problems with Sadie lunging at people, an annoying problem she's started since her stroke. Its something I continue to work on and try to have patience with, because I know that she does it because she feels insecure. I seem to be able to control it, as long as I have a HIGH value treat with me to distract her. Oh well, I can't have everything.
