Walking while peeing!?!

Buddy does the pee walk...half cocks one leg...takes a step half cocks the other leg....kinda like he is a male ballet dancer...or like he is ice skating . I have never seen a male pee like he does. He gets a real serious starethen starts in one leg at a time....

That sounds just like what Flashy Gent does! Sort of slowly glides around the yard first one leg then the other...

my girls walk while peeing..they cover more ground marking that way:rolleyes2: they boys dont walk while peeing...its hard to walk with only 3 legs on the ground :)
Pooping its the walk...all over the place!!!I keep trying to tell them to stay in one place so I dont have to go on a hunt to find it all!!

:lol: Yep, it is harder for the boys to walk and pee!

Tully walks when doing both. Now when she does her walking pee she lifts her right back leg like a boy, then drops it down to walk a little, then lifts again, its so funny to watch, I'm sure she is copying Deska with the lifting the leg thing. Her walking poo is to keep the poo off her skirts. Deska likes to sit on a bush or log or mound to poo, not sure where that came from.

Happy does that a lot of the time- not always. It's funny - he walks up to something, lifts his leg like he's going to pee and then all of a sudden- it's poo instead :wink2:

Ember walks while she pees. Sometimes she will hike up one leg alittle too. I also thought it was a marking behavior. She has been known to lift her leg or do a handstand on a tree or fence as well. My third girl to do so. But I like headstrong girls.

I trained my puppy with the puppy pads ... which worked well for him except he is a poop walker and he starts on the paper like a good lil boy but his walk strays him off of it !! It was funny and frustrating :lol:at the same time !

My girls all do the "pee-curtsy," holding until finished. Beckers stands straight and pees -- pray he doesn't figure out the leg lift!

Yup, Bailey is a walking peeing, pooping machine. Means nice long dead grass stains in summer and searching for all of the poo drops on clean up patrol.

Maia will crouch down and lift one of her back legs, but you can hardly see it as she is so low and then, she will start to walk, slowly lifting the back legs. I swear that at one time or another she was doing a handstand. She also scootches when she poos - so they are everywhere.

Chinook, he just lifts his leg and goes in one spot. The same with poo - he's picked a spot in the back of the yard and he goes there all the time - makes for easy clean up.

I was going to ask the board about this one day. But kept forgetting. Neither of my boys walk while peeing. However, both walk while pooping. I always wondering if 1. it was a Sheltie thing or 2. it was a long-haired dog thing (y'know, don't get it in the hair, thing). Guess it's neither.

Miko has walked while peeing. He'll do that if he's on my left, grass on my right and he's got to go (he'll only go on the grass, if the grass and him are on my left. Don't ask. He's got the "heel" thing going too deeply me thinks. And he'll walk while pooping. Really hard to pick up when it's dark out and I'm trying to find it over the past 15 feet. LOL. And just for the record, since some were talking about it, Miko will get on the grass, get situated, then pick up his right rear leg. Not very high. Just pick it off the ground. He doesn't mark.

Koji. He never learned the pick up the leg thing, so we always say he pees like a girl (not really though). But his tail goes into this cute S-wave. So silly. When it comes to pooping, he makes these circles then bam, starts going. But then, starts walking. Not as much as Miko though. And at least Koji will walk in circles. Miko refuses to turn and will only go straight.

My boys have issues. You think? lol
