Want a conformation dog?

On the upside, if you read the details, the breeder is having the rescue find him the perfect home. I just thought it was weird to see a nicely stacked dog on a rescue site. Seems he doesn't like conformation. I think agility will bring him out of his shell....or flyball. ;)

Wonder why the breeder couldn't work with him or have somebody work with him? I saw the video and he is beautiful and obviously debarked. He is not in rescue but breeder has asked rescue to help find a home for him - application process, verification etc. Cost is 400 dollars.

I understand that breeders do not specialize in placing adult dogs. Had this breeder called rescue, and said "hey, I have a dog here I need to place, have you got anyone on your list?" that would be acceptable. No advertising, the dog never really takes up rescue resources, it's just an information sharing thing.

But I feel the same way about this as I do a dog with any other disability. You bred it, you place it.

I thought it was a little odd too to have a dog from a breeder on a rescue site. If figured either the breeder is desperate to find the right home, or desperate to get rid of him, or his problems(fears) are even worse than the sound, or maybe he/she is just in over her head and doesn't have the time or skill to help him. And he would hopefully blossom in the right home.
