Both Brandi and Kadin have completed their basic obedience courses and tested for their canine good citizen certificate. They both passed and are now considered good citizens. Kadin has also completed his advanced basic obedience course and is now ready to attend competitive novice obedience. Brandi is currently taking her advanced basic course and is fast following in her brothers footsteps as a star pupil. Kadin is much more eager to learn than Brandi is. She thinks the whole thing is a bore, but she does comply with my commands here at home and also in the ring. Once we earn our CD titles then we will continue on to Rally obedience.
 
Congrats on the CGC's. Callie also has her CGC. We're learning about rally so we can start later this year at a local dog show. I have understood that rally is less formal than regular obedience and a good stepping stone to obedience competition.
 
The director of our Sheltie Rescue here in Florida is also an obedience judge. She has given me a good bit of advise that my dogs should earn their CD before we go into rally because in rally you are encouraged to talk to your dog where in obedience you give the command and the dog executes it. She told me that if I go Rally then competitive obedience I will be setting them up to fail in competitive obedience that I should do that first, then go into rally just for fun.
