Last weekend was full of Agility success for my family in the TDAA venue we compete in with Edan and CJ.
I'll start with CJ -
As many of you know, my husband (Glen) runs CJ and we've had a number of challenges with her from the teeter to the weaves to running out of the ring, to missing Qs by fractions of a second.
Well, last weekend Glen and CJ earned their Teacup Dogs Agility Championship (TACH) title. (For those unfamiliar with TDAA's championship - to earn the initial TACH, you must earn 10 superior standard Qs and 10 games 3 level Qs. Games can be just about ANY game in the "Clean Run Book of Agility Games".) On top of this, they've already earned 4 Superior Q's towards the TACH2 (they need 15 Standard and 15 Games). They already have enough Games Qs toward the TACH2 so here's hoping it won't be another three years before they get the remaining Standard Qs. (In case you haven't figured it out - Standard runs are a challenge for them so this is a BIG deal for their team.)
This is the culmination of a 3 year journey for them. What really impressed me was she was making time with between 8 and 10 seconds to spare! Usually she's right up against the qualifying time. She's come a long way in three short years and Glen has come a long way as a handler. I'm really proud of the team they've become.
Now it's Edan's turn -
Edan and I earned our Fourth TACH at the same trial. TACH4 is earned by achieving 25 Superior Standard Qs and 25 Games 3 level Games Qs - a total of 50 qualifying runs. It took us just over a year to earn the TACH4.
We've already stared accumulating Qs toward our TACH5 (30 Standard and 30 Games Qs)
