We're back to Three - Meet Chatter

As I sit here in the computer room, with a basketball game on the tv, Chatter has found a place to lay partiality under the desk and furthest away from the door. I guess "daddy" will protect her from all the bad and evil things which may enter the room.
When we get home from work, we always let the girls out first thing. That entails a trek down 2 flights of steps to the family room and then outside in the enclosed area. Of course, Tangie and Cherry were right on my heels. I called for Chatter and sure enough, she came down the stairs and out the door with the other two.
She's coming around pretty well.
Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and well wishes - not only with Chatter's adoption, but with us giving Tangie and Cherry new homes. All three are special girls. Our only intentions are to give the girls love and provide them safe and comfortable homes for the rest of their lives.

It's fantastic that she already are so safe in your family.

I still can not forget that she fell in love with you (a nasty man person)

I dare not imagine what had happened to her if you and your wife not had opened your home.

Wonderful update. All 3 girls are so lucky and as you know, they will repay your kindness with so much love. Sounds like a pretty uneventful transition for Chatter, which is great considering her prior fear of men. Some folks really have a fear of adopting an adult dog because "you don't know what you are getting". I've volunteered at our local shelter for over 9 years now and it's frustrating. Heck we got Brooke at age 7 almost 8, and after a couple of weeks to really settle in, all was well.

Wishing you all lots of wonderful fur-time, and keep us updated as things progress. Photos always welcome! :biggrin2:

Update..... Yesterday after work, the wife and I were in the living room, Tangie and Cherry were up and down off the sofa. Wouldn't you know it, Chatter finally decided to see what it was all about..... She jumped up on the sofa and wanted to have her turn to be petted! What a break through! Did my heart good!

And it keeps getting better.... after several days of coaxing, Chatter finally came up from the family room to the kitchen all by herself. We are so pleased! It's like almost every day we get another break-through. She's finally seeing where being around these humans might not be a bad thing after all!
