Westminster Photos

The interesting thing is that once poodles are "finished" and they're done showing, most breeders cut off the pom poms and let them be natural, in what's called the puppy cut ... just an overall trim. They look soooo much better then! I know there's some tradition behind the show cut, but it does look ridiculous. Almost embarassing for the poor dogs! :uhoh:

It's interesting; we basically train our show dogs to beg! When they give us the cutest, sweetest look, they get a treat... and it's a trick they never, ever forget (and will use over and over again).

Isn't that the truth. Ember is spayed and hasn't been in the show ring for 2.5yrs but last night she parked herself in a perfect show stack in front of a new member of our agility class and proceded to con him out of almost 1/2 a stick of string cheese. Sucker.:biggrin2:

That's the face she gives mom every morning when she wants the last little bite of toast. Works every time. :biggrin2:

Annie is so incredibly beautiful!! I never get tired of looking at her. I loved the Shetie Pacesetter special issue of Rabbit Run Shelties!! Ann, thanks so much for sharing these pics!!!

Kim at Laureate has a Standard poodle, and its a lovely looking dog. She keeps the pup natural, and I love her pics of him romping with the Shelties.

Of course I love the sheltie picture, she really does a nice job capturing the moment. I went to her sight also, thanks Ann for introducing her to us, great photography.

How gorgeous all your dogs are!
Annie deserves some extra butter on her toast!!!!
Anne, I adore the phrase the face that launched a thousand cookies, it's quite brilliant, and I bet accurate LOL

Thank you! Actually, I believe that Annie likes her toast with jam. This is why she started her get-in-shape exercise regimen months before Westminster! (She's so funny; she's a very regal, grande dame sort of girl - but oh, can she eat!)
