what age does a sheltie stop growing??

Laddie has been the same height now for the past 3 months, which is 11 1/2 inches to the shoulder, he is getting a furrier however, he has a lovely coat. He is now 11 months old, will be a year the 20th of December.

Wow! Laddie does not look that small at all. Ruu stays the same height for 2-4 months then spurts 1/2-1 inch every now and then :eek2:

I agree - my Hanna is now 12" and under 12 poounds, she looks a lot smaller than Laddie from the photos - are you measuring from the top at the highest point?

PS - had another look at that slide show tonight , he has such a beautiful coat!
 
I am pretty sure in New Zealand they breed to the British standard, which is smaller and generally more petite than the American lines. Laddie definitely looks like a British line. Actually he looks quite a bit like my Tully - he doesn't have any Tooneybank in his lines does he?

Not that I know of, I just had a look at his pedigree, and I did not see the name anywhere. However, most of his bloodline IS in Australia, so, maybe way back. That would be interesting.
