What Age For Agility?

Silaria.....great tips!!! I have my 7 month old Pyper in an agility foundations class. We started it as soon as we finished basic obedience. There is soooo much to learn even if the dog can't yet jump. I'm going to build a ladder this week end. Thanks!

Clipping a bar would not drop a bar.It could drop but not all the time.My guys have clipped them and they have stayed up.

Wrong choice of words while posting quickly. You are correct; clipped bars don't always drop bars.

When we train, we don't reward for clipped bars to encourage the dog to learn to jump so they don't clip a bar. When we start with the ladder, the first week we encourage the dog to just walk the ladder and not worry about whether or not they clip the rungs. Over the next 2 weeks we increase the requirement for the reward to not clipping the rungs.
