What's in a name?

Well for my dogs growing up, it used to be a family tradition that we would give our sheltie pups "K" names. My first dog's name was Katie, and she lived up until she was 13, then we adopted Kacey when she was 8 weeks old, and we just named her that because my uncle really liked it. Then we adopted Chelsea a few months later, and I named her Chelsea because I just couldn't think of any other "K" names. My uncle to this day still blames me for the reason why we don't use "K" names anymore, but quite frankly I don't care. Then after Chelsea passed away tragically back in 2007, we adopted 2 doggies: Kayli and Jewel. I named Kayli her name because I just really loved that name, and Jewel is Kayli's Mom so she was already given her name before we even got her, but we're pretty sure she was named after the singer Jewel because of her special front tooth lol. Then in 2010' we adopted our first male sheltie: Cody, he is a rescue sheltie and was already given his name, but we love his name anyway. And now on to my 2 little babies: Ash Lee and Luna Bear. I named Ash after my favorite character out of my favorite trilogy: The Evil Dead trilogy and he's also named after my Dad since my Dad's middle name is Lee. As for Luna, my fiance named him Luna, because of his all white exterior and his bright blue eyes that reminded her of the moon. :biggrin2:

Just an update on the new one!
'Epic' was the last in a very very long list of names which I selected then disregarded for my new puppy. It seems appropriate because we went on a 1050 mile round trip to get him :eek2: and the search for him has had so many twists and turns over the last 18 months! His registered name is 'Dark Knight' so even that ties in reasonably well!
