what's with this DOG!!!

I notice that some of you are asking if Mya is spayed.
She is spayed...had it done in '08.

The thing is...there was no threats whatsoever from the other dog.
He just stood there really nice with a slight wag to his tail. No hackles.
There was no sign I could see that he was showing any kind of aggresivness.

The only thing that I could think of is that there was another dog few months ago that had similiar color markings and it took a swipe at Mya. It was a dominance thing.

Maybe she thinks this was the same dog...I don't know. But it's the closest thing I can come up with.
 
1) When on leash dogs can feel threatened because they are trapped, which is why so many incidents happen when dogs are on lead.

2) Did this dog pull towards you? A tight lead causes a dog's neck and therefore its face to be pulled back resulting in the appearance of a snarl when the dog isn't giving one. Hence why dogs should always meet and greet on a loose lead.

3) Lastly, when you say Mya wants to get with the other dogs, are you sure this is what it is and she isn't reacting because she actually feels threatened? Its difficult to say without seeing the behaviour but anxiety/excitement can appear very similar.

I would bear this all in mind and watch how she greets other dogs.
