For me it isn't the bf who is the problem, it is my mother. She babysits (doggie sits?) while I am at work which mostly means I drop them off at her house and she spoils them. It was the same when my daughter was little. Grandma was the pushover. But even with all of grandmas spoiling the kid turned out fine (she is a senior in college now) so I figure the same will be true for the doggies so most of the time it doesn't bug me.
(" that is not a game she should be playing!"), and she tells me with great concern, "Now I only gave her 1 cup of food for dinner" "but she's only supposed to get a quarter cup" "But she still seemed so hungry after the full cup..."

Argh!! This whole thread is ringing so true for me. Watson's dad asks so little of him and let's him get away with so much that I can barely get his attention now. I could barely get him to sit tonight and he was barely even lureable. Good thing it was just another class and not the test tonight.
On a positive note, he has a new girlfriend... a very pretty chow.
