I like Randi would use a picture from a happy time. Your grief is so raw right now but in time your memories will go to the happy fun times you have had with them. I would though, get each of the two pictures enlarged to maybe 5x7, mat them and hang those instead. The pictures are absolutely beautiful, both of them....

I'm just speaking from my experience, you may be entirely different. I have pictures like yours that I took of Louie the morning he died. At the time I loved them, maybe because it was all I had left and that was how I saw him in my mind. Now, when I look at them I see the love he had for me in his eyes but also I see without a doubt that he was ready to go long before he did and I know that he stayed just for me and I wish I had been able to see it.

So, I had printed the photo of Miko (that I linked to in the beginning) as an 8x10 and framed it. Um, I have to say, I think you're right. Although I do love the photo of him and I don't associate it with him passing, I think him lying down always reminds me of how tired he was that day.

I may have to go find another photo. I may see if this one is possible.

There's a couple of others. But the fact that she keeps telling me, "it's blurry" gets on my nerves. I obviously do not have any clear photos of Miko. Sigh.

I'll have to give this more thought. I don't even know, now, if I'd print the one of Miko and Koji. I almost feel like Koji is watching over Miko and saying good-bye. Ugh. It could be my state of mind today also, LOL.

I love this one, his end of his nose is a little out of focus but maybe you could send along another one where it is in focus. (I see you have several similar) Then she could put the two together into the perfect picture! She really does beautiful work!

his eyes are in focus- that is the key point.
you could always crop his nose out and just use the in-focus portion so it would look like this

Good point. I'll have to email her ans see if that's something she can do. Thanks for the suggestion!

I just love this picture that you posted in another thread of Miko: http://kelela92.smugmug.com/The-Boy...98652_DwgQhJ#!i=842269931&k=kC9D3HQ&lb=1&s=A\

That expression and the low angle of the photo. I love it. Made me smile.
Bailey looks at me the same way when I'm laying down and she stands over me.:smile2:

I assume she doesn't have to paint the exact background like she could do just a simple colored background?

I do love that one too. Guess I'd better email her to open up a dialogue again. And yes, she can make the background whatevers. He looks so happy happy (dangit, I've been watching way too much Duck Dynasty, haha).
