Why is sable merle classed as a fault?

Oh my god he is BEAUTIFUL!! I loooove the way his coat is. I just got my own sable merle baby girl, and I'm so eager to see how her coat will turn out...her face changes more every day- with merle spotting. I looove her to bitssss!
