will UKC accept PAL/ILN registration?

Megan wants to do jr showmanship with Jake and I would like her to be able to do AKC and UKC shows. Jake will turn 3 years old in June and has not ben registered yet. I have his registration papers but he is a limited registration and it would be a lot cheaper at this point to do a PAL/ILN.

If I go with the PAL/ILN would she be able to show him in UKC shows or do I have to go with the regular AKC registration.?

Is there any way you can contact the breeder and explain that your daughter is looking to get into JR handling and if she will change the registration? I know many breeders are willing to help get kids into Jr's and will work with you.

UKC has a limited privilige registration that is like AKC's PAL. The dog has to be neutered. You can just do a single registration but you have to provide a copy of the AKC certficate.

thanks Jessica, the UKC site is confusing. I don't know enough about shelties to even seriously think about breeding Jake so I figured I would save some money on his registration and put that money towards getting him neutered. I would have to pay a $65 late fee to register him now.
