That's exactly what I thought too! She looks gorgeous in her new coat, and now she can frolic in the cold & snow for a nice long time without you worrying as much. What a pretty girl, not just her looks but also her expression is so nice too. Good choice on dog AND coat

I was thinking about getting booties for Forrest, last night he was limping after walking on a neighbor's sidewalk that was salted. He knew it hurts him too because after a few steps on it, he clambered onto the snowbank to get off the salt. Then he stopped a few yards away, lay down in the snow & started chewing his hind paw, poor guy. I rubbed some snow over his paws & guided him to snowbanks for the rest of the walk whenever I saw salt.

Not all Shelties are made from the same stuff....My dogsare used to extreme cold, so Indy is comfortable lying in a snowbank at -15C. But he is used to it.

Besides, when you are going for walks you want to keep them dry too!

My only one here who wears a coat is Lily. She refuses to come in no matter the weather and how cold she gets!! She only wears it when the high doesnt get above 20 for the day. Sooo next week she should be wearing it since it isnt supposed to go above 30 all week...soo sick of this cold weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
