Hope he is feeling better. Hollie used to have episodes of vomiting bile like you describe. It was caused by her gallbladder. Just a suggestion to check with the vet. We thought it was just because her stomach was empty b/c she did not have any other symptoms and blood work was always normal. She went undiagnosed for years until her liver enzymes became elevated.
