I live an hour from Fresno up in the hills. Yes, if I did open one, I would love to have you move to Fresno. You would die from the heat, but hey, they make AC, right? I also have a friend in Alabama who would move here and work for me. I did take a dog training course so that's covered; I have something to hang on the wall. In Fresno, there are a couple doggy day cares, a few private trainers, and one training center. However, they operate on the you take your classes and buh bye until you get another dog. I really would like to open a place for dogs & owners to go play and train ongoing. My husband's biggest fear is that it would tie me down right about the time he retires in a few years.

It would definitely tie you down for a while. The couple that owns these 2 have Tuesday off. That's it. Tuesday. And it took them over 2 years to get to the point where they had staff trained well enough for them to feel comfortable even taking a day off. If you ever do it, my best recommendation is to get the biggest space you can afford. The location in Huntington Beach is tiny. The one in Redondo Beach is huge. 3 times the size of Huntington. You can set up a proper agility course or Rally course in Redondo. Not so much at Huntington. About 11 pieces is all you can fit in that gym, so even their most complicated courses are easier than an AKC Novice course. Also, they only offer recreational agility. If they offered a course path to competition (AKC, USDAA, NADAC, CPE, etc), they would rake in the cash because it's really difficult to find an agility trainer here. The trainer I've been going to for the past year is over an hour drive away from me. If it wasn't for Zoom Room, we wouldn't be in Agility at all. They were our introduction to it.
