RACH Angelic Pumpkin N Sweet Cranberry Relish BN PCD RM4 RAE4 HT PT NAJ

I still remember when they were born like yesterday. My heart totally broke when Denise sent me the message that he had passed. The only thing wrong with this beautiful breed is that they don’t live long enough… and when something evil takes them even earlier like cancer, it is devastating

Does spaying really improve her shedding?

Also... if you don’t use your girls for breeding... spaying is a must. Pyometra is high risk for girls that have an empty uterus every heat cycle.

Does spaying really improve her shedding?

Yes it will. Females tend to blow coat four months after a heat cycle. Settling those hormones will help her to have a big coat.

    Age to neuter

Cancer from a retained testicle can be a higher risk.... but it’s not going to happen overnight. I wouldn’t be worried to wait till six months or even a year. Your puppy is still very young and there is time for that testicle to drop yet. I’d give him to six months and it just may come down.

    Hair conditioner for Sheltie?

A good spray on conditioner works wonders for the coat. Making it also easier to comb out. Ice on Ice or The Stuff are good ones. You can also make your own by diluting a good pet conditioner such as the Isle of Dogs brands. Dilution rate would be around one to two tablespoons of conditioner...

    I'm back :)

I need to upgrade my account so I can put pictures on here. I actually find grooming quite relaxing. I turn on the radio and put one on the table and get into the zone until they are all brushed and combed out. With a kiss on each little black button nose. :)

    How to fix hound ears?

Put breathe right strips in his ears. Place a piece of tape. Cut a breathe right strip in half and place on top of the tape. Then make your roll and put on the top of the breathe right strip. Fold the ear down and hold and massage the ear to warm it up. It will help the ear stick as the tape...

How long to keep ears glued

Tuning in here for the first time in who knows how long. :) He's got heavy ears. I had to actually put breathe right strips in his ears at an earlier age to keep them from going hound. I think you'll be just fine. Just watch them IF one starts going up you'll know you need to glue back down.

5 fingers in the back legs

Rear dew claws are a fault in the show ring. They can have a front dew claw though.

How severe a fault is a short, kinked tail?

Bless it! It is a short tail. As he grows in his adult coat it will be less noticeable, but judges tend to check where the bone is in accordance with the hock. He doesn't look like he has real good rest angulation, but it could just be the way he is standing. As long as he has other...
