We had him since he was 8 weeks old and he lived 14 years. It was a good life for him, but too short for us. I suppose that's why God makes puppies so adorable.
Awwww, thanks so much for the birthday message. Sadly, it has not been very happy, have a bad cold and marriage issues that are NOT good. Lad and I may very well be flying back to my home in Octoner.
NCAA needs to keep their noses out of it! If we have the approval of the tribe, why should it matter?
I bet you get funny looks in your OU gear. Our big rivalry here has always been the Utah/BYU one. My daughter (Utah grad) married a BYU fan (he hasn't attended, just how his family raised him). My son (Utah fan but going to a smaller state school) married a Utah State grad. We get really funny looks when we're all together. Hubby and I and two kids in Utah gear, son-in-law in BYU gea, and daughter-in-law in USU apparel.
We all live in fear that one of these days the NCAA will make us give up the Utes nickname. Right now we have the support of the Utes tribe so we've been allowed to keep it -- but there's no guarantee we can in the future.
Ute_fan here. Couldn't figure out how to reply to your message. We're fans of the University of Utah sports teams. They're called the Utes -- hence, Ute_fan.
I lived in a neighborhood off Ave. N and Ward St. It's by Taylor Ray Elementary. I was 10-11 when we moved. My dad still worked for the school district up until this past year. Yeah, most people don't know where it is when I mention it. It's not even that far from Katy! But that's ok. I actually have a co-worker who lived there at one point too! Went to Lamar HS and everything.
