  • Hello again,

Yes, we would like the website of the CT breeder. We would like to get a puppy this fall or winter. We can never replace Cleveland but we liked the mahogany colouring so much. Thank you for the insight on the colouring. We were a bit confused on just what he was. You see we were lucky with Cleveland. He was a rescue pup and we knew nothing of his lineage or the breeder. We just lucked up on the sweetest personality and intelligent brain and we just thought he was sooo beautiful. We don't want to temp the fates the second time around. We want to know that the new pup had great fur-parents and fantastic human friends. Also we would like to eventually get a 2nd pup, 18 months after the first one. Do you have just the one Sheltie? It seems that so many people have 2 or more. And we guess we are being selfish but we don't ever want to be lonely again without a little guy running around under our feet.
    Have a great evening,
    Ron and Jan.
    Hi there,

We are very much the novice Sheltie Owner. We had a darling sheltie named Cleveland who passed away this last Saturday. Your Shelly looks so much like our little guy. (Beautiful and Intelligent looking) Would you answer us a question? Do they consider this look of Sheltie a Sable when they have that much black on them, or are they considered a tri coloured? Cleve's face was marked just like your pup's (we've noticed that the tri coloured tend to have lots of black in the face) and his white went 3/4's the way around his mane. His back was black and britches and under belly and under coat brown and white. Paws and legs were white. Any knowledge/thoughts are appreciated. We want to get a new pup in the future and would like to get the same look. Thanks Ron and Jan.
Sophie does not have a full white collar. On her right side is where the full collar stops. She also has a kink at the end of her tail. Her tail must have broken in utero. That is too funny that they are so close in age. We can watch our girls grow together. The organization your son is part is a great one. Stay in touch!
Wow, 9 days, thats really neat. I didn't notice that. Well Shelly has on up on Sophie, she's hairier, lol. I'm jealous. I know this sounds weird but it seems like Sophie has no undercoat, just a top coat, so she doesn't look like a typical fluffy sheltie. I bet it'll come in overnight and then she'll be fluffy. I love your Shelly. Is she 9 days older or younger? They've got the same white marking on the face and snout.
Shelly is absolutely beautiful. Her coat and coloring are gorgeous. I hope Sophie's coat fills out like that too.
Thanks Janice! We took a lot of pictures and videos of the first litter as well. We presented each new family a puppy packet that included a vet record, tips on raising and training pups, AKC registration info, sample of the puppy food we were using (Nutro Max), and a CD with an assortment of pictures and videos featuring their puppy. Most of our adoptive families were local, but one came from Connecticut. In particular, she was happy for the videos and pictures to help her choose her puppy.

This litter of puppies is so large that without good photo documentation of their markings (as well as a written description) it would be hard to tell who's who. Now I suppose I could just go with that, but I have a large concern about each pup thriving and without comparing weights from day to day there's no good way to do that!
    Hey

Thanks for all your nice comments on Indy's and Bacca's pics! Thanks for taking the time! Us proud momma's just love to hear other momma's say how great our babies are! We are so sick! :-)
Love your photo albums Janice, Shelly is so cute. She definitely looks like a little girl dog with all of her delicate features and dainty frame :)
