First off,welcome to the forums,its great to have you here. We are also owners of a deaf/blind sheltie. Her name is Mia.
I can tell you,you are in for the most amazing journey with Watson. I love his name BTW!

And yes...public forums can feel/be critical at times; I've certainly been on the receiving end of that. But why should there be any criticism for you loving and providing a home for a special needs dog? Bless you. It would be wonderful if this was a world were all pets were healthy and perfect and all people were responsible and caring. But this is not a perfect world. So in the meantime, I applaud you for making a difference in your corner of the world. Don't hesitate to come here with your questions, suggestions, and concerns. If some of the comments aren't edifying, let that go. There will be plenty of suggestions that will be helpful and supportive for you.

Welcome to the group! Thank you for giving Watson a loving, forever home. I also have a double merle. His name is Cooper and he has one deformed eye and is partially blind in the other. He is also partially deaf. But my sweet boy has no idea he is disabled in any way! He's super smart as well. I know you will have such a great time training and loving little Watson.
