It's been a while since I posted, missing Honey's birthday and Mangos too! Here is our Fall family portrait of the girls

With more casual photos from the end of the year in the gallery too.

Adding Mango into the family was a great choice, and despite the occasional frustration from Honey when she's being a bit to much, the girls get along so wonderfully! They play for hours, and both run over to the basement with twin looks of hope as soon as they get inside. (The basement has exercise mats down, while the rest of the house is wood floors, so it's the preferred play spot.)

Mango is slowly getting better about not immediately stealing any toy Honey decides she wants to play with, and taking turns fetching. Honey won't usually force the issue, but the minute she tells Mango, "that's mine" Mango drops it and slinks away. Honey is still very much in charge when she chooses to be.

We had a lovely first year, where Mango proved to be relatively low energy so long as she got plenty of snuggles. Now that we're past the year mark she's getting the crazies by the end of the day - if she doesn't get a walk. (Just in time for winter and cold and winds!! (n)) She could have timed that better.

Also, Honey is getting more snuggly as she gets older. The other night she plopped her head and front paws down on my chest and went right to sleep!! Ah, bliss.

Really nice photos and update. They are such a cute pair and I love Mango's freckles. Isn't it great to have a pair who get along and play well? I'm blessed that way, too.

Thank you! They are such pretty babies :)

It is so relieving that they get along well. Having tried to adopt and failed because of such huge amounts of animosity I was very nervous about that part. Although Mango just felt like she fit from the git go. I'm glad we were able to get the second though...one of the recent posts in Sheltie Angels talked about how hard it can be to get a second dog after your bonded one passes, and I know that would be me. I take a long time to get over the death of a companion, and even once I am able to get another one, the bonding doesn't always take when I'm still hurting. So I knew I needed another one if I didn't want to have a huge gap between furry friends.
