A message from my daughter...

Thank you~

I am some better today.Last night Brian came home from work.He calls every night at 8:30,at the time he called last night,I could'nt even speak a word audible to him. It was one of those big waves,I hav'ent had one in awihle, that I find myself being right back at that very moment, 14 years ago, when I could not put one foot in front of the other. Mentally & physically.

I grateful for everyone of you,so very kind & caring.

You are so right....you hum along just fine, and then all of a sudden, it slams into you! Hugs, Michelle....I don't think it every really goes away, and frankly I wouldn't want to....they'll always be a part of us, just like our Rainbow pups!

Everyone on this forum is so supportive and caring! I wouldn't be posting anything like this on any other forum! Its good to be able to share the laughs and tears! Thank you!

You could not have said it better. I don't open up much especially so since moving so far away from my family in NY,this forum to me is my family. Even though many miles are between us,I know that every one cares so much for each and every one.

Barb and Michele,

I'm a bit late in responding to this post, but do know that I've been thinking about you both. I don't know you well, but you both are wonderful, caring souls and I am sorry that you suffered such loss.

Barb and Michele:

I am so sorry for both of your losses. I will pray that God will send you both comfort and strength. My heart goes out to both of you!!

thinking of you..

My thoughts are with you both, Barb and Michelle. I hope you are able to enjoy the holidays in spite of your pain. Words can't express how my heart aches for you. I'm glad that you have friends (including those of us here on sheltie forums!) and family to lend support and a listening ear (or eyes?).

My heart goes out to you Barb and Michele!

Barb..it looks as though you & I are having one of those weeks.

I really am reaching out to give you a hug right now. I wished I could share a letter with you, that my son wrote when he was a senior in high school. As he wrote one, as we also got one five years later after he graduated. What is very ironic about your letter you recieved, its that Scott had been accepted to attend RIT in Rochester, and he was to major in photography. In his letter he wrote about wanting to work for National Geographic, and travel abroad.

I am at a loss for words to you right now,but this I do know and feel strongly, our children are safe, and in gods hands. And maybe, just maybe they are taking those pictures, that they wrote about in those letters.

This has not been a good day for me,this time of year is very difficult.Today it's been hell. With every branch of the tree I try to fluff up and place in, I think of Scotts last Christamas, and today I found myself thinking of you.

Big hug~

You are both here for a reason. I believe Gods places us where we are for reasons beyond our comprehension. I think you are both here for support to each other and we are all here for the same reason to help support Both of you! My heartfelt prayers go out to Both of you at this very difficult time of year. Memories are wonderful and know that your children are smiling down upon you this Holiday season from Heaven and are free of any pain . May the Good Lord protect and comfort you both .

It does seem to be beyond coincidence that both Michelle and I lost a teenage child in tragic circumstances, and both of us received 5 years later, letters posted by the school, and even more bizarre that both had aspirations of doing wildlife photography!

I'm not religious in the true sense, but I do believe that there is something bigger out there, helping to guide our paths. And that things happen for a reason and some ultimate greater good - though perhaps we may never entirely know what that is, or understand how our sacrifices play into it.

Bless you all!

((((to those who are grieving))))

I grieve with those of you who are grieving, especially during the holiday season. I have not lost a child, but I lost my Mom, Grandparents within a year of each other. I am an only child and am left with my Dad, my husband and 2 kids. I pray for those of you who are hurting and may you find refuge/shelter from the storm of grief through the Lord!
