Hadley is just starting to get her new coat in after blowing it about a month ago... She's getting spayed this weekend and I'm curious if this will cause her to lose it again? I reaaaalllly am hoping the answer is NO! lol :)

She should be fine, it may come in a little slower. Anesthesia will stress the body, and some blow coat after having it.
One thing you will notice, is a change in the coat texture after being spayed. The coat is softer and gets longer and drapes. They tend to carry less undercoat.

my question too.. our dogs must be about the same age.. Belle is 15 months. How old is Hadley? hoping here also that not too much coat is lost.

I'm not sure Hadley is as I got her off Craig's List and the previous owner was a dog flipper just trying to make a buck off her and said she was 1 1/2 but the vet said probably closer to three... She needs to be spayed before heat, but she is finally looking like a sheltie again so I hope it doesn't affect it too badly. Poor girl was naked for a while...

I guess I have the same question. Will Trapp & Jasper blow thier coats after the snip snip?

They are going to be done this month as well. Mia will be first to go in.The clinic I am going to has not opened yet, they open next week.
