Agility Prospect

Was wondering if this would be good way to post it but just in case someone within driving distance to IL looking for agility prospect CISR has a beautiful boy. It is not full sheltie, likely Sheltie/ Aussie mix but sounds like a gem of the dog.
His name is Joey, scroll down the page and that is what head CISR says
"Cept.... he does have a tail. But he is WAY to friendly with everyone and anyone to be a sheltie. He loves EVERYONE. He would kick butt in agility. This dog can JUMP, run, and all the while his eyes are on me. I wish I could find him an agiilty home. From a stand still he jumps onto the patio table. He is driving me nuts... as he is SO more active than all the real shelties. I put him in my German Shepherd yard and he runs circles around them."

I guess by their standards that Cranberry couldn't be a sheltie either :wink2:
All dogs exist to play with him and all people exist to give him cookies and lovin:yes:

Now Dixie- she's a sheltie- she won't go up to just everyone and has to check everything out before approaching

Yeah that what I was thinking-Justice, Diva, Coal, Porter, Pike and Grizz are all not shelties. I was actually a bit offend by their statment that real shelties aren't friendly or aren't altheltic enough to jump or run or have energy.

Dog looks quite sheltie to me, not the best example but that doesn't mean he can be a "real" sheltie. :rolleyes2:

Not really related to what you guys are discussing, but this reminds me of that "What do you see" Optical Illusion (the old woman and the young woman: http://www.qualitytrading.com/illusions/girlwoman.html).

At first I looked at him and thought 100% Aussie! But then Shelli said, he looks quite sheltie, and now I can see that too!

Very handsome either way. I hope he finds a new home soon.

interesting points of view, surprising to me. I felt I got exactly where shelter is coming from- one of our trainers is heavily into aussies so we see them frequently. I tell you from generalized point of view I would not want any... just too much of wiggly butts... too busy, that off switch is placed somewhere high it is hard to reach:lol:
also they really do not have that slight hesitation about meeting people that sheltie normally show... more like labs or goldens, both of mine while well socialized just have to check you out first...
Joey will be overkill for any regular family so boy really needs either ranch or agility/ flyball home. Surprising he is quite trained, knows/ follows plenty of commands. How could anyone put all that training in and THEN dump him?

now that is a good question:yes:

yeah, the pup seems to be pretty good in heeling and enthusiastically does many commands, so he was def trained in agility and obedience...
really sad
