AKC Agility Nationals

I think we're getting the ASSA National the AKC Agility Nationals confused. The locations for AKC Agility Nationals (all breed) in 2011 and 2012 haven't been announced yet.

The ASSA Nationals hold a Sheltie-only agility trial in conjunction with the National Specialty, but you don't have to qualify to compete, except for the Sheltie-only requirement. The agility trial for the 2010 ASSA National was held last Sunday, March 14.

The AKC Agility Nationals are open to qualified dogs only.

I hope I didn't confuse things more. :uhoh:

Thanks Margaret!

I brought up the ASSA because I was so excited when I found out the location.

The AKC thing is totally different and is what this topic was started about.

I don't know what is more exciting the AKC Agility Nationals or March Madness. College Basketball (UNCONN Women) .I am hoping that Rush wins again. He won the 16 inch group last year beating a BC for the spot.Rush is a Blue Merle Sheltie.Agilit or Basketball it is tuff to choose but I think agility will win.

For me, Agility wins! :biggrin2:

My trainer runs her Aussie in the 16-inch group, too. But, I would still prefer to see a Sheltie win. :wink2:

I'm trying to decide whether or not to subscribe to the AgilityVision feed. My mother will be here for a visit and it would be rude of me to be glued to the PC watching while she's here. I just remembered that Mike set up the Wii for internet access. Maybe I could use that to get the feed on the big screen.

Well, you didn't hear it from me and I'm not going to name names ... :wink2: But I saw the woman who has been winning the 26" bracket quite regularly last week and she has a severely sprained ankle. She didn't run her dogs at the local AKC trial over the weekend. Probably trying to get healthy for the Nationals. Sooooo, if you happen to know someone who is running a big dog at the National, this may be their year.

AKC Agility Nationals

If anyone on the list is from Okalahoma or near there you should go check out the Nationals. There are 1000 of the best agility dogs in the country competing there.

Does anyone know if the AKC Nationals will be available to watch online? I would love to watch them. (I missed the Crufts agility :( )

AKC Agility Nationals

Yes, Ania you would be able to watch it thru Agility Vision but you have to pay for it.
