Allergies and scratching

My friend has corgis and lives on 180 acres, he dogs run all over and fleas are a problem. She has help to take care of there farm and they suggested a product called comfortist, and hasn't had a problem since. I just spoke ro her so i haven't tried it yet. If it works for her i'm sure it will work for us! Good luck.

I have used Comfortis for Gypsy, it does work well. It is a pill form but does not proved protection against ticks like many other products so do be aware of that.

Kate we all know you are an amazing Mom to Harper Lee and were to Seamus as well. Do not beat yourself up, problem is now solved and I am sure she is just fine. Hugs from Gypsy and I.

Don't feel bad I made the same mistake. I watched my Danny bite and scratch and thought it was an allergy. I didn't see any bugs on him. But I watched as he would stare at himself like seeing something on him. My husband said it was nothing. I got some bug drops and sure enough they started falling off of him:eek2: we had our home fumigated. I think he got them when he caught a little rabbit and brought it in the house. He didn't hurt it, only scared it to death.

Again thank you one and all

It's no secret that I have foundered since loosing my Seamus. I have tried so hard to be extra vigilant with Harper, perhaps too vigilant overlooking the small logical things.

I am doing a comfortis pill tomorrow, I know they work from in here in the forum and from personal experience. Frontline just stopped working one day for so many of us and it is a nasty toxin, comfortis is a little better than that.

Do not want any nasty surprises in a month or so to see new fleas on my dog from eggs that hatch.

To answer the question about how I found out Harper Lee had fleas, quite simply during brushing I saw one and as we all know, there is never just one.

Best to you all and Happy Holiday season to us and our beautiful sheltie dogs, one and all.

Kate and Harper Lee
