I tend to find both types acceptable, although to be honest I'm not particularly impressed with the trend toward what I call "cuteness" in the breed, particularly those tiny little ears that seem to spring up from the middle of the head. And you can only have so much "fluff" before you begin to lose the grace of the dog's natural form.
