Angel Update, need help

Ok so heres what all the blood results say. Angels Livers enzymes are up so theres somthing wrong with her liver. I asked if it could have been due to her gallbladder, but the vet said no nothing came back saying somthing was wrong with her gallgladder. The cancer results came back 5.3, anything over 5.8 means she would have cancer. So in otherwords shes on the brink of getting it. My vet put Angel on some denamarin 425mg to help her liver, and said there was two other things he could precribe Angel (med wise) that could support her Liver. I asked if there is anything I (as in ME) can do to help her Liver as in certain food or anything (not med wise) he said no. I asked if there was anything I could do to help prevent the cancer from happening, and he said no. I find this hard to belive, there has to be somthing I can do (besides the meds she already had [and thats just for her liver!]) to help Angel. I am looking at holistic veterinary medicine right now, beacuse she said she will help me with Angel and we can try a few things and research. I hate that my vet pretty much told me I have to wait till Angel gets cancer to do anything. This is wrong and I know in my heart there is somthing I can do. I will find that somthing. Can anyone give me advice?

Sorry to hear of Angel's issues. The Denamarin should help with the liver values. Any talk of ultrasounds ? I would want a second opinion or at least a diagnosis...I think a holistic vet can really help with diet and look at other options to eliminate toxins in Angel's liver as well. I like a combination of holistic/traditonal for our family of people and critters. Prayers for you all.

I am sorry to hear this. I agree with mellie, I would get a second opinion and ask for an ultrasound. Ultrasound was how Hollie's gallbladder disease was diagnosed after her blood tests showed elevated liver enzymes.
