Angus is missing

Wonderful to know about the findtoto.com site and service. Hoping and praying for reports of a sighting.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but I wonder if Angus is trying to make his way back to your house, Janet. It might be worth canvassing houses along the way to see if anyone along the route has seen him. It would be great just to hear he's been sighted somewhere.

Praying hard that you have good news soon. Keep the faith!!

I say the same Ann,either he is scared out of his mind and hiding,or he has been approached by someone and he was toted off to a home..I still say there is a possibility he could be trying to find his way home.

Angus is by no means shy,and could be coaxed to someone, especially if they had food.we can only hope that he is in the care of someone, and they themselves will contact Janet.

I have thought about him all day.As well as everyone at Janets, and the trial owners.
I still say, these folks have to get out and canvas the neighborhood.I know its hard with work schedules, but unless he is treking to Janets,it is a good possibility, someone has seen him in the area of his new home. He's bound to be hungry & thirsty.

Dogs will move more in early mornings,or late evenings, especially if they are scared and looking for food or water.I'm sure he is nesting during daylight & with this heat,he's conserving his energy.

I couldn't imagine them not doing this.

And yes early morning and late night are the best times.

Also...ask a local animal shelter for a have-a-heart trap. Judy (Sunchaser) recommended this to me for the Sheltie that we are looking for in Florida. It could work if he is still in the area.

What has been done already to find him, Janet?

Janet have you gone up there to see if you calling him with a familiar voice may coax him out if he's hiding? Or even someone from your family. Is he chipped?
I mean heck you said she only lives what 30 miles from you??? He's either scared and hunkered down, on the move towards your house or someone has him..and in that case the word needs to be put out there the more flyers, people signage..etc.

That is my thought. The familiar "Puppy, puppy, puppy" and Janets voice...my gosh any of thee pups go crazy for.

I would be singing my heart out.I just know,if he is in the area,he will come to her.

We all feel so helpless, but 30 miles really is not that far for dog that is lonesome, and determined.I still think he is in the area, but scared & hunkered down, waiting for a familiar voice.

Perhaps you could post signs with a picture in the distance between the two houses. If he's trying to find his way back to your house, perhaps someone has seen him.

We're all praying hard here. I know you guys must be so scared for him.

And if he is chipped, that is good as well. Eventually, he could be brought back to Janet's house.

What has been done to find him????

Update us please, so we can give you more suggestions.

OMG!

I don't know what to say! I know how difficult a decision this was for your family to make and you truly did not need this to add to it.

I'm praying for Angus's safe return.

This has to be so hard for you. I am sure you are trying everything you can to try and find him. I would hate to see anything happen to him. With my pet insurance I have coverage that they will start looking and put out notices for Emma if she went missing. I was also notified that the CKC links up with another company that provides notification in case of a lost dog. Does the AKC do this as well?

Remember to think like a dog when you are posting information along the trek between the two houses. The route we humans would take is NOT the way a scared pup would take.

Keep us posted........you are in our prayers.
