Angus is missing

She offered me a few contacts:
Er Regional Vet Clinic~ 828-665-4399 (Buncomb or Haywood county)
hours are 5pm-8am
Animals are brought here either by the person that found the animal that needs care.Although Camden is large, many people do bring animals here, because of it being staffed thru night hours.

Michele--I added Angus to Reach Animal Hospitals website. I forgot to mention that earlier. They have a lost and found section that you can view daily. I think it takes 24 hours for it to post...I will check again tomm. to make sure it went through

Just one other idea, Michele. I don't know if they'd do this where Janet is, but our local TV stations are really good about posting a picture of lost pets during the local news with an announcement to people if they've seen the pet to please contact the station. It's mostly the weather people who do it, but if it's possible to get it on TV during any local newscast it's worth a shot. I'd try calling the local stations and see if they do it.

The really cool thing is that when the pet is found, they also announce it. Pictures can be sent to stations by email with Angus' information so it would be easy to do.

Janet..this is a great idea! I would have no idea, since I have no NC phone book to make calls.

i know i live way out here in Canada but a few years ago i was in SC and met a few people from NC, i have an old friend down in NC near canton (hope i spelled it right) i passed along the message of angus missing and sent him a picture, he said he already sent it to his mom that does animal rescue work down there, as well he's passing it along to anyone near him. I forgot to ask what the name of the rescue his mom works for i think its a small community based rescue that runs out of someones house, but know they are looking for him. Sorry i didnt think of this contact sooner i just realized it and contacted him immediatly.

we will find angus! and he will be home soon. Positive thoughts

If someone can tell us what the local TV stations are in Janet's area and the town where Angus went missing, we can Google them and get the contact information so we can email them. Anybody in NC that might know?

Angus went missing in Canton, NC and Janet is located in the Weaverville, NC area

WSR the rescue I got Baxter from has a site at Yahoo Groups. I posted a message there in hopes someone has friends or family in the Canton area. Lisa twho runs the rescue has a lot of contacts so she might be able to help too.You never know.

Has anyone been able to get in touch with Janet? I mean there seems to be alot of questions that need to be answered, like
1.is he Chipped
2. Has anyone gone to where he disappeared?
3. Are the temporary owners searching? What have they done?
4. Has anyone put out a have a heart trap? If so what locale? Anyone checking it?
5. Any sightings in the area?

I think its great that the community has come together to help find Angus, but I think these answers need to be answered to help move the search forward so they are giving the appropriate details to shelters/rescues/animal clinics. Can someone Contact Janet to find out these answers?!
