Angus is missing

With so many prayers being said these two sweet babies are bound to be home soon.

Dear Lord please craddle and comfort Angus and Ruffles until they are back home safe and sound.

Just want everyone to know the same story I told Janet and her husband, that last Sat. a lady called me and said she had had a sheltie for 6 days and could not find an owner, had posted it everywhere she could think of starting with the shelter, vets rescue and all over the community. Why the paths didn't cross is beyond me, all I know is I backtracked and found she did do this. She brought the sheltie to me and I bathed him and brushed burs out for a long time. I fed him and kept him Sat. nite while I tried to find someone that knew about him. Thinking he may have come from far away, on Sun. I let a couple in Hemphill near Jonathan Valley take him. On Mon. after a walk with the new mom he bolted and ran into the field that adjoins the woods. That is the last they saw of him. I went to the shelter and contacted rescue Tues. a m, finding out he had just been listed at the shelter as the fax came thru as I was there. If we hear anything we will contact the real mom.

yes, it was Angus that they had...he escaped again Monday evening 6/7/10 in Waynesville. I have contacted Amber and put her in touch with SheltieBoyz to coordinate the search efforts as we will be out of town and it is still within 15 miles of Amber's home.

I am so ANGRY at the shelter for NOT passing on the ONGOING and DAILY requests about Angus...

Janet,
It may be hard, but we would love to hear the story of where Angus has been. I think it would be good for you to relate it as well (not to mention inquiring minds over here). You have put in more work than any of us, I am sure, but we do have invested hearts.

Take care,

My thoughts exactly.I know every day since info was sent to them,I know I have called, and I know True's mom has been on top of it as well. And even all of you,it's just a shame.

Janet, please know that your entire family, human and canine, are in my continual prayers. This has really struck a chord in my heart and I'm praying for Angus' safe return.

I'm so thankful that he hasn't been alone and scared all this time, but sympathize with your frustration with the shelters, etc. Keep positive!

No...the person that found Angus (who is in Amber's neighborhood) reportedly called the Waynesville shelter who said that there had been no reports of a missing sheltie. So after she'd had him confined in her barn 5-7 days she sent him to SheltieBoyz, who then placed him with her friend. Angus then pulled loose from them on Monday evening.

So the shelter did NOT assist in any way in sending on the information that we were searching for Angus. This is in spite of Amber going there in person multiple times, emails and phone calls from me, phone calls from True's mom and Michele, calls from my friend Teresa....

So Angus is still out there with the bears and panthers and coyotes when he could have been back here or at Amber's house (she does want him back).
