Angus is missing

How could the shelter not know some one was looking for that Black dog...good grief. I am glad you cleared this up for us Janet and I will continue to pray for his return. Try and relax on vacation. Least we know he had one really good nights sleep and meal. That poor boy what he has been through.

Angus

Janet, I know you were so upset when you called me today, but I am so in hopes you understand that I only had a portion of the story. Most of this happened before I got to him. Info. was a dead end.
Please know that Jean (lady that found Angus) is a really caring animal lover and so am I. We both were doing what we could with what we had to go on. If ever you need to contact anyone for lost dog you must go to SARGE or HAWA in Waynesville. Research SARGE and you will find your answer. Please know we will continue to look and will contact your contacts if anything comes up.

No open cuts on Angus

I forgot to mention earlier that he did not have any cuts, had signs on his tummy of previous maybe 3/4 in. little cuts, but they had healed over. I checked all that out first thing.

Unbelievable that the shelter did not know it's behind from a hole in the ground. That is absolutely the most frustrating thing in this story. At least he appears not to be injured and was fed, so isn't starving, and people were good to him.

Good grief, it's such a crazy story! I said my prayer while walking my girls and continue to say it in my head - save Angus, bring him home. The same for Ruffles. Janet - I know in my heart it will work out, and your sore heart will be healed.

Hang in there.
Sharon

Joy and Jean, thank you for what you are doing in trying to help.

It is the shelter that I don't understand. This is their full time work. It is their responsibility to watch and connect people. It is taking everything in me to not call and lam-blast them for their incompetence; however, it could just infuriate them and make them not want to help.:uhoh:

Our thoughts are still positive. He has shown himself to be of tough character, and he will make it home.

Sounds like the shelter dropped the ball and everyone else went out of their way to help Angus. Hopefully he got some good food and recuperation while with them so he can continue his adventure in good health and soon be back where he belongs (after all this he will either turn into the ultimate lap dog or a Sheltie super hero)

I have been following this thread from the beginning hoping that the thread would end already(Angus being back home). Everytime I see this thread I think "what if" it was my lil boy out there lost and scared. At least there was sightings of him and I pray that he returns home safely and soon. Angus has been thru soo much he deserves to be back home safe and happy. I dont know Angus but I think about him a lot and what he must be going thru. Angus needs some divine intervention to send him back home. It is frustrating to me ...not being able to help.. all I can offer are prayers. Be strong Angus and find your way home.

Janet, you poor dear

yes, it was Angus that they had...he escaped again Monday evening 6/7/10 in Waynesville. I have contacted Amber and put her in touch with SheltieBoyz to coordinate the search efforts as we will be out of town and it is still within 15 miles of Amber's home.

I am so ANGRY at the shelter for NOT passing on the ONGOING and DAILY requests about Angus...

You have every right to be angry and upset. You did all the postings and alerts and they still didn't contact you. I'm so sorry you have to go through this turmoil. Dear Lord , St. Francis and St. Anthony Please watch over Angus and Ruffles and Bring these poor Babes home to their real homes and put them all at ease and comfort them . I ask them in Jesus name. Amen

I just had another thought. This could be a waste of time but have you tried getting with the Post Office and UPS in the area? While they are working and would not be able to stop (thus the message might be prevented from getting to them) they both cover the area quite thoroughly and during the day. Might be a good way to narrow the search for Angus (or as a stated a waste of time)
