another bump :(

nope.. went back 2 weeks ago. It never positively impacted Gavin's limp in any way. Obviously, the issue isn't instability in his leg or simple lack of muscle mass in his leg because the brace would have fixed that. It is either his paw, wrist joint, hip joint, or groin. Could be lack of muscle at those points, but it isn't anywhere from thigh to calf (OK, using human terms cause I have no idea what to call them in dogs).

I did notice that at the beach, on semi-packed sand, his 3 good legs left almost no mark on the sand when in the cart. The paw of his weak leg left an indent where his middle 2 toes were pushing off the sand. so he is using that leg and able to apply serious pressure (more than his other legs, which is odd considering that 70% of a dogs weight is born by his front legs). Obviously his mechanics of walking are different than normal, but one would think he would use that leg with less pressure....And he still toe touches while standing, even in the cart he shifts his weight to the good side while standing.

Bump is about half the size this morning...i just did some apple cider vinegar compresses. I mean its is the same as using acetic acid (which is very low pH). It could have been a spot that the brace hit, but we only wore it like 4 times for maybe 15-30 minutes each time and that was over 2 weeks ago ..I dislike reinforcing the idea that apple cider vinegar is some cure-all with magical properties :)
