Trini, my heart breaks for you as you endure yet another terrible loss. You give Dante, Dakota, and all your precious pups the very best life and so much love. I hope you can take comfort in how happy they all were in your loving care.

There are so many special people here on SN...people who fully understand the love and joy these precious souls bring into our lives...and the devastating heartbreak when their time with us is over. Thank-you to each of you for your words of comfort. No matter how many good-byes we face it never gets any easier. But how much we would miss if we had never been blessed to have had each gentle soul we have lost. They take a piece of us with them when they leave but we give that piece to them as their due for all they have given us. I wish it didn't hurt so terribly much, but again and again we open our hearts...even knowing the pain we will pay in the end.
