We got our Amber Lee from a breeder in Honey Brook PA. It was February 7 and she was seven weeks and 1 day old. She was living in a barn with her two sisters and two brothers and a lot of dairy cows. They were not in a cage. They were in a large stall with lots of straw on the floor and 3 or 4 hay bales. The puppies couldn't get out but her mommy could get in and out. There were four other adult shelties outside and the circled our car and started herding us.:smile2:

First thing we did when we got home was to give her a bath with puppy shampoo. Three days later we took her to our vet and she said Amber Lee was in very good health and worm free. The breeder gave her the puppy shots and our vet gave another shot. She goes back to our vet in 30 days for another shot.

She is not shy, timed,or aggressive. She is playful and is a climber. She can climb over the puppy gate in 15 seconds. She is paper trained but prefers the living room rug. So we have her crate in the kitchen and leave the crate door open so she can get to the paper, water, and food. I made a climb proof gate out of luann and she stays in the kitchen. After she poops and pees we will let her into the living room for a while and she does her zoomies.

When we let her out in our fenced in back yard we walk her on a leash. I'LL wait until she is a little bigger before I let her run free. When she does her zoomies in the yard she runs in a circle at the end of the 16' leash and it looks like I'm flying a model air plane.

This is our second sheltie. We had our first back in the seventies.

Welcome...we too are new puppy owners although our little girl will not be ready to come live with us for another few weeks. The time sure drags.
Our last Sheltie was in the 70's-80's too. We are really excited to be getting back into this beautiful breed.
I love hearing about the zoomies :smile2:
What colour is Amber Lee?

Amber Lee is sable and white. I wish I knew how to post pictures but I'm from the analog generation and don't know how.:(
