AT five years old, Beau is somewhere in between. He loves to cuddle at times and then gets into what I call "Harvey the misfit dentist" mold. meaning he wants to be "independent together"
He is definitely a smuggler though. I love how when we are out walking like we were the other day and he just walked right up to this couple and leaned right up against the wife for snuggle, I had to remind him that not all people like dogs and their response," yeah right, I want some more time with him" HOnestly, I grew up with three dogs, a pure bred beagle, a whippet terrier and then we kept one of their babies. And while they were pretty affectionate and protective, they were not smugglers like Beau. so sweet and soft.
The other thing he does which is so sweet, is when I am on the computer he will come up to poke me in the butt as if to say," Momma I need some love Please" which of course I come off the computer and lay my head on his belly and rub his head. Its very calming for both of us. Of course when he's thru he just gets up and goes to crate. Like he's saying, "okay, enough already"
