At what age do they begin to jump (on or off furniture)

I don't remember exactly, but I do remember shortly after Indy came to us, when both pups were 10 months old....one day they were chasing each other around the house. I was sitting on the loveseat reading a book, and suddenly Bacca soared over the BACK of the loveseat and landed in my lap! At that moment, I thought for sure it would be agility for him!
