Attack of goat dog

Goat dog did it again. He snagged a bottle of cough medicine capsules (OTC). I was talking to my brother and heard him munching next to me. Thought it was a bone he has. Nope plastic his favorite. I immediately snatched it and out poured all the capsules. So grabbed one out of his mouth and run him off. Picked up all the others. Then worried and worried. He even got to sleep on my bed as I wanted to keep an eye on him (this was 3-4 hours later so I was just paranoid). He is fine and was scanning the kitchen floor for 'edibles'. It is bad enough he eats stuff but he also has this stealthy glide that makes him just appear places. At least Sca you knew if he got in things. Surprisingly Spitfire does not get in stuff, though if he does there is zero stealth, you can almost feel him flipping you off.

But most important goat dog is fine and got a lot of extra petting while I worried.

Ack!! I would have worried, too! It's pretty easy to give them a dose of hydrogen peroxide to make them vomit if you catch them eating something like that but don't know if they actually swallowed some. Sounds like you caught him in the beginning anyway. Good grief, Angus! You need to be much more choosy on what you chomp on!!! Glad he's OK.

If it hits the floor Coop thinks it’s his whether it’s a crumb of food or a jigsaw puzzle piece! lol. He will if he gets chance swipe something off the kitchen island, but Mom has wisened up and makes sure things are now out of the little beggars reach! lol. He hasn’t attacked the toilet paper roll since just before Mother’s Day last year, but drop a paper napkin and he is there in warp speed. lol. Basically you could say we treat him like our Grandkids and try and keep stuff out of his reach! lol. Kids!!! lol

They can sure be sneaky little devils. One of my ceramic Christmas trees fell of its table yesterday and I thought I'd picked up all the pieces since it broke cleanly. A few minutes later I heard Misty batting something around and whadaya know, she'd found a tiny piece of tree. Then a few minutes later, here comes Sprite carrying a piece in her mouth. Clearly I need my glasses prescription changed! :cool1:

Very glad Angus is OK. Dropping pills is a big fear here, there's always a mouth right underneath you. :hide

Glad he’s ok and that he didn’t get any! In my house it’s Blueberry I have to worry about. All pill bottles kept out of her reach and I also have to watch out for tubes of lotion, chapstick (some have xylitol and not always marked) and anything and everything else for that matter! Today I was picking up little styrofoam balls from a floral decoration she found somewhere....she’s also discovered that she can go down the basement and have a secret poop (if the door is ajar). Gives new meaning to the nickname little chit!
