Help please…
I have 2 questions about showing my dog in a local competition
I would like some help from people that have some experience

  • in junior class, what is the upper limit in age ?
  • if puppy teeth (11 mothts old puppy ) are still present is that a reason for disqualification ?

I'm not sure about European classes, but all the baby teeth should be out and gone by about 6 months. If a dog still has baby teeth much beyond that, they should be pulled so the adult teeth can come in.
 
I looked at those pics with mouth, looks like lower incisors are slanting forward too as well as those baby canines should have been out long time ago because they seems interfere with proper alignment of permanent canines. I do not show but think crooked teeth are not a good sign for show puppy here in US. I think it is also not allowed to put braces on show puppy in US as it considered altering...
 
Absolutely the puppy canines need to be removed, pronto. It is hard to see how the bite would align with just that picture.
Also, his tag is very nice, BUT that collar, being a chain, probably a choke, is dangerous to leave on a dog, and it will also break the coat around the ruff. A buckle collar is a better bet. If you do use a choke chain for showing, it should be a very fine link, or a snake link.

The puppy teeth should come out now if at 11 months they are still tight without a wiggle they will not fall out. Heck, even if the adult is over half way in and the babies are not a bit loose they usually don't fall out. I don't believe they are a DQ but a fault(how big is in the eye of the judge) as is but I don't know European standards. Be aware that retained baby canines is usually genetic.

Hard to tell much more about the bite from that picture but usually retained canines usually cause the lower adult canines to be pushed in making the base narrow, it can effect the ability to close the mouth fully or interference of the canines or hard palate as the mouth is shut.

Our Vet will try to loosen the teeth a little bit next week
Because there is no problem for the puppy to fully close its mouth and I haven’t noticed any marks of pain ,I disided to wait a little as vet says
I think that all that teeth problem has to do with the fact that the my puppy is very calm in the house and has never attacked anything in the house
(like furniture ,shoes…ext)
he is left alone for about 5 hours every morning when we are at work and he only plays with his dog toys

As for the choke chain, that member missjenneygirll mentioned ,the photo was only posted to give an idea of the size of tag .
We use only a pure titanium, fixed length chain that is 8 mm and very light (35 gr)The chain is Hypoallergenic (as all titanium objects ) and very high in dense ,(with links that are fully closed) and we used it only at walks ,that is about 3 hours a day .In combination with good behavior (no pulling) there is no sigh of problem with its hair around the chest .

My Sadie wasn't a chewer as a pup and her adult canines came through before the baby ones fell out. Even then, the baby teeth fell out only days later. She was only about 4-5 months old at the time

I'm surprised that your vet wants to 'loosen' them when he's already almost a year old, this seems very strange to me.

If he was my dog and I had plans to show him, I'd have them pulled ASAP, before they ruined the placement of his adult teeth permanently, if it hasn't already been done.

Depending on the judge, teeth can be a big fault. My Sadie is actually missing 6-8 teeth so I could never show her, even though it only affects her in a positive way (less plaque forms since there are big spaces).
 
just shows you how differently thought process works in relation to animals for different countries. Leo kept retaining his R upper canine until the new one was out half way at almost 6 months old... I was getting palpitations thinking I need anesthesia to remove it even that baby canines do not have that much of the roots... so I went out of my way giving Leo tons of strong chewies, like marrow bones and played tuggy games ad nauseatum... finally the day before his vet appt to remove it it fell out on his own:biggrin2:

My problem is that i dont want him to be treated with anesthesia
* Thats wy VET is going to loosen them (if he can)

* answering to Ontariosheltie ... about the strange behavior of VET
I dont let him to use anesthesia , and i am ready to stop thinking about showing the dog if necessary

Ah, I see, that makes sense to me now. I know many people who are concerned about anesthesia. You're right, if you don't have your heart set on showing and the teeth don't bother him or interfere with him eating, then try to leave them for as long as possible.
