Bad news about Hadley from Austin

I missed my puppies, but they were in good hands. :) Hadley is doing well...she's started playing much more than she did even before she had the pups. Her fur is really looking like hell but I've read that's to be expected when they are nursing. It's matting extra easy. The pups are so much less pink! Here's a picture:

Beautiful, just beautiful!!! Dumb question here, but at what age do pups open their eyes and have full hearing?
 
They are looking great. I think eyes open usually around 10 days but they don't have great vision, just blurry to start with and hearing is 14 days I believe.
 
I can't wait for them to open their little eyes. They will be 8 days old tonight so hopefully by the end of the week a couple of them at least will have their eyes open. They are moving around better and starting to use their legs whereas before they just scooted. Poor Hadley has tons of hickeys from the sucking her belly!

Haha, it's not funny, but it is, it's sweet and cute, little puppy hickeys. Eight days old tonight, how precious :yes:. It's SOOOO much fun to watch them grow through your posts and pictures.
 
I'm not sure about the hearing, but I know their eyes are usually open between 10 and 14 days. Those puppies look so nice and healthy! Good for you, Mary! Great job with an unexpected gift from the stork.
 
I've been doing some googling and stuff to try to find more information about the lady I got Hadley from. I've found one post, that's been deleted by CL, but you could read the beginning and it's about the previous owner selling French Bulldogs... they wrote:

"There was a "french bulldog" listed on cl yesterday. i have aleways wanted one but i live in san antonio and i asked my friend in austin to please go pay the woman the $300 she was asking and get ..."

I can't read the rest but it was just posted five hours ago on Austin CL.

Then I found a post from the girl who had Hadley and she's selling Coatumundi's (This one is in the Dallas CL) and says will trade instead of selling for the right breed of puppy, here's that ad:

Now I just got a reply from someone else who got a dog from her and it said this:

Was there anything else wrong..we just got a dog from her...not only did she lie about what breed it was but she also has medical issues we have to take care of. She told us it looked like a english bulldog when she doesn't at all. the only reason we took her was cause we really didn't want to leave her in that house
 
I could be wrong here, but this lady sounds like a classic "puppy mill" breeder. Or, some people go to the local animal shelters or pounds and adopt the dogs, puppies and then sell them for profit :(.
 
I'm so glad I got Hadley out of that mess and the babies weren't born there. I'm guessing she really didn't know Hadley was pregnant or she definitely wouldn't of gotten rid of her! :( :( I replied to her post where she's selling the coatumundi (SP?) and she wrote back from a different email w/a different name... this is all too awful and she has to be stopped!
